We custom design and manufacture all types of resistive, high-precision, electromagnets for accelerator and laboratory use.
Vacuum Chambers
Our high-integrity HV and UHV chambers are designed and manufactured with a focus on reducing physical leaks, virtual leaks and contamination.
RF Resonators
Our resonators are manufactured in-house, including everything from winding the water-cooled copper coils to fabricating, finishing and copper plating the inside of the cavities.
Support Structures & Associated Equipment
Adjustable and fixed support structures for our electromagnets and vacuum chambers utilize in-house design, fabrication, machining and measurement, constructed to highly precise standards. We also manufacture an array of complementary equipment such as ion sources, beam diagnostics, electrostatic and permanent magnet components.

Mechanical DesignBuckley Systems leverages more than 40 years of technical expertise in magnetic modelling and particle tracking to support you in everything from validating the harmonic errors of synchrotron magnets to developing the ion optics of a spectrometer.

Manufacturing
We manufacture large spectrometer and analyzer magnets weighing tens of tons to steering magnets weighing less than a kilogram.
- Yoke cores are machined from high-quality, low-carbon steel, pure iron or laminated silicon steel sheet.
- We specialize in copper hollow conductor, strip and wirewound coils.
- All critical components are manufactured in-house to maintain extremely high tolerances.
- We were the first to introduce specialized processes, such as resincast AC scan magnets and EDM wire cutting for precision shaping of multipole yoke assemblies.
Auxiliary
ManufacturingOur advanced auxiliary manufacturing processes ensure every product meets the highest standards of precision, reliability and quality. From welding and plating to laser processing, lamination and painting, each step enhances product performance and finishes. Comprehensive in-house testing guarantees reliability, while skilled technicians handle final product assembly in controlled environments for efficient, high-quality integration. These capabilities allow us to deliver products that are not only functional and durable but also meet the exacting expectations of our customers.
